We are facing an administration dead set on dismantling our Collective Bargaining Agreement, stripping away the rights PASS fought tirelessly to secure. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and for those who remember the Imposed Work Rules / White Book under the Bush Administration, the parallels are chilling. We cannot afford to stand idly by while management overreaches—every attempt to undermine our CBA must be met with unwavering resistance.
There is a time for collaboration, but make no mistake: there is a line between management and bargaining unit employees, and we must make a stand. Every BUE deserves fierce, unrelenting representation, because every victory for them is a direct stand against those who would see PASS weakened, and we refuse to let history repeat itself.

Communication Plan: Ensuring Transparent & Efficient Information Flow
If elected, my priority will be ensuring clear, consistent, and accessible communication between leadership and membership. Here is how I will achieve that:
1. Open & Transparent Communication
-Weekly Briefings: Host a standing weekly call to provide updates, address concerns, and take questions.
-Meeting Minutes: Keep detailed records of meetings and publish them promptly for all members to review.
2. Digital Platforms for Real-Time Engagement
-Slack Channel: Establish a dedicated Union Slack workspace (that ANYONE can join) for instant communication, categorized by topics (e.g., #contract-updates, #grievances, #general-discussion).
-Email Updates: Send weekly or bi-weekly email summaries and maintain an up-to-date repository with key documents, meeting minutes, and FAQs.
3. Bottom-Up Information Flow
-Leveraging Experience: Actively engage senior members to share institutional knowledge and mentor newer Union Members.
-Member Input: Use polls, surveys, and an anonymous suggestion box to collect feedback and ensure all voices are heard.
4. Structured Feedback & Resolution Process
- Dedicated Representatives: Assign points of contact for specific concerns, ensuring efficient responses.
-Delegate: Delegate small groups to focus on key issues (e.g., workload, shared responsibilities) and report back to leadership on what works and does not work
By implementing these steps, I will ensure that every member is informed, involved, and empowered in union decision-making.
